I'm A Celebrity viewers await 'savage twist' in final of ITV South Africa show

A "savage twist" is in store for fans of I'm A Celebrity South Africa.

The final of the ITV show will air on Friday, with four contestants battling it out to be crowned the first I'm A Celebrity Legend. They are Myleene Klass, Fatima Whitbread, Phil Tufnell and Jordan Banjo.

However, in a twist at the end of Thursday's episode, former contestants of the show were brought back and tasked with choosing one of the four to also go home. Their decision will be revealed at the start of Friday's episode.

On Thursday, contestants were thrown into a survival trial which saw two campmates booted out. Players had to unlock themselves from a box using only their heads, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Once free, again using their heads they had to dunk themselves in a bucket of gunk to find a key. As the players battled it out, many were quick to comment on the brutal challenge, which saw players squeeze fish eye balls into a glass with their mouth.

Failing to succeed in the challenge, Carol Vorderman and Paul Burrell were the latest players to leave the camp, leaving just four to battle it out for a place in the final. Taking to Twitter, fan Owen said: "This trial sounds needlessly disgusting" as Havelock added: "These trials are truly the worst." Roisin said: "Omg frogs I’d probably have a heart attack jaysus!!"

But the surprises kept on coming during the episode as it was revealed the final three contestants will be chosen by previous campmates. One fan wrote: "OMG they’re bringing back all of the others to decide who goes to the final WHAT - SAVAGE TWIST." Ross said: "This is going to be excellent" as Laura added: "Oooo this looks a good episode!"

Dystainak commented: "Them getting the previous campmates to decide the final three is good #ImACeleb." Sparks said: "I like the idea of them bringing back the celebs that lost out. Perfect and most fair way to judge who should go far and win."

However the decision was met with mixed reviews as some fans said the show should have kept the public votes.
