I'm A Celebrity pub reward leaves viewers insanely jealous as stars have night out at Castle Inn

I'm A Celebrity viewers were left green with envy and longing for their social lives back on Tuesday night after the contestants enjoyed a night out at the pub.

The daily Castle Coin challenge was renamed the Castle Pub challenge, with it falling on the shoulders of Shane Richie and Beverley Callard to win a trip to the Castle Inn by correctly guessing Britain's most popular pub names.

After a not so successful start, they persevered and got the dream prize, much to the delight of everyone in the castle when they were told they'd been promised drinks and snacks.

And what a reward it proved to be as they walked into a pub decked out in Christmas decorations, with Jordan very excited as they tucked into a 'substantial meal - pies, peas, chips and gravy, which Vernon and Giovanna won for them in the trial.

Like any great British pub, karaoke was also on the menu and it was down to Shane, who once had a chart hit with a cover of Wham's I'm Your Man, to kick things off with his version of The Jam’s A Town Called Malice, before Jordan belted out a bit of I Will Survive.

The entertainment continued with Mo and Shane singing Spandau Ballet’s Gold before Giovanna and Vernon sang and danced their way through Backstreet Boy’s Everybody and Jessica led the group into a lively group rendition of Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas as they all hugged and held tinsel in the air.

The celebs' night out was almost too much for viewers to take as many of them prepare to come out of lockdown, only to go into tier 3, where all pubs will be closed, apart from those doing takeaways.

One tweeted: "the fact the celebs can go to the pub in a freezing castle in wales but me stuck in tier 3...I cant," and another reacted: "Can I move into the celeb castle, I wanna go to the pub please"

Twitter was awash will tweets from Brits longing for a night down their local, with a third posting: "Tragic state of affairs when the I’m a celeb camp mates are going to the pub more than I will this December," and another commenting: "Love how the celebs are going to a pub but we can."

Despite winning the reward, Beverley didn't get to go to the pub as she and Victoria were voted out before they went.
