I'm a Celebrity presenter Joel Dommett rushed to hospital after on-set accident

The presenter of I’m a Celebrity‘s companion show Extra Camp, Joel Dommett, has been rushed to hospital after suffering an injury on set.

Dommett was missing from last night’s episode (20 November) after windy conditions reportedly blew a wooden sign onto his head. The 32-year-old comedian required seven stitches.

His co-presenters Scarlett Moffatt and Joe Swash presented without him, the former telling viewers: “Unfortunately we’re a man down as Joel isn’t well, but the show must go on.”

Dommett posted a photograph of his bandaged head to Instagram, writing: “I had seven stitches like a big brave boy and I'll be back tomorrow. To be honest I'm less worried about my health and more worried that the show will be better without me. Half a day off school to go home and watch Neighbours! Woo!”

The 18th series of ITV's long-running series returned last weekend with a new batch of contestants, including former football manager Harry Redknapp, Inbetweeners star Emily Atack and DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles.

Also featuring in the series is The Chase star Anne Hegerty who has opened up about her autism and the heartbreak of losing her father to her fellow contestants.

Tonight's episode (21 November) will see the addition of British television legend Noel Edmonds who is set to join the show as a secret camp mate.

You can find the full list of contestants below.

This year's run is presented by Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby who replaces Ant McPartlin after ITV granted him a year-long presenting hiatus.

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues nightly on ITV1 at 9pm.
