I'm a Celebrity Adele Roberts first person to be evicted from 2019 series

Radio One DJ Adele Roberts was the first person to be evicted from the I'm A Celebrity jungle tonight.

Before they headed into camp Ant and Dec told viewers there had been an issue with the app and therefore only phone votes counted in tonight's vote.

Speaking to Ant and Dec after being evicted Adele said she was "amazed" she had lasted that long.

Adele said she wanted to "challenge myself I decided to go for it and see what happens."

She said: "I'm stronger than I realised, there's so many things I can do, I've faced a lot."

The celebrities up for eviction were Roman, Nadine, Andrew, Adele, Cliff, Kate, Jacqueline, Caitlyn and Andy.

The celebrities earlier battled for immunity ahead of the eviction by doing two disgusting trials.

But there was some controversy as in one trial The contestants had to drink a disgusting concoction before their partner did in order to become free from the curse.

Dec explained that Cliff couldn’t make it to the Trial for medical reasons and that James had been nominated (by Cliff) to take part on his behalf.

James went up against Myles for Cliff, but failed to drink his glass faster than Myles, meaning Cliff was cursed.

But when James went up against Andy for himself he was super fast and became uncursed.

And fans were quick to notice the difference in the timings and took to twitter to slam James.

Robyn said: "Sorry but James obviously didn't try for Cliff but did himself, See how swift that drink went down the second time. "

Holly Foster said: "Really starting to dislike James after he deliberately lost and then told cliff he did his best. Horrible man."

*I'm a Celebrity continues at 9pm on ITV tomorrow
