I'm A Celebrity 2020 line-up rumours: Mo Farah, Shane Richie and Vernon Kay

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! is returning to TV and this time it's going to be set in chilly Britain rather than sunny Australia.

The ITV jungle series hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly is moving to crumbling Gwrych Castle in North Wales - which has a long and spooky history involving a ghost and alleged Satanic rituals - and this year's stars will face plenty of new challenges.

As well as the wet weather, the celebs are likely to face all new trials based around the the new location - even the much-loved Celebrity Cyclone is likely to get a UK makeover.

Despite worries over the rain and the cold, there are still plenty of stars said to be in the running for a place in the show.

Here are the celebs rumoured to be taking part and hoping to succeed Jacqueline Jossa as King or Queen of the Castle.

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here 2020 will go ahead (ITV)

Following the big news about its confirmed airing later this year, a whole new batch of names have been rumoured for the jungle including Clive Tyldesley, Michelle Visage and John Bercow.

Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard was the first to officially sign up to the 2020 series, with other possible stars including Strictly Come Dancing's AJ Pritchard and Manchester United superstar Eric Cantona.

Here, we take a look at all the I'm A Celebrity 2020 line-up rumours and confirmed signings so far...

Shane Richie

EastEnders' Shane Richie is reportedly one of the names to have signed up to brave the wet and the wind.

The Alfie Moon actor, 56, is said to have been headhunted by show bosses for years before they finally locked him down in 2020.

A TV insider told The Sun: "ITV have always wanted Shane for the jungle but with panto not happening this year and other work opportunities less likely, he decided this was the time to take the plunge.

He's best known for his EastEnders stint (BBC / Kieron McCarron)

"Going to North Wales is less of a huge commitment than flying halfway across the world, too, so he jumped at the chance.

"He's already being talked about by production as an early favourite as he's such a likeable bloke and known to millions of soap fans.

"ITV are delighted they've managed to convince him to take part."

Sir Mo Farah

Olympic gold medallist Sir Mo Farah has joined the line-up for 2020, sources claim.

He's said to have been a big fan of the show since sporting hero Linford Christie's 2010 stint.

Now a telly insider has told The Sun: "Mo's been a big fan of the show for years and was just waiting for the right time in his career to do it.

"He obviously has an excellent level of fitness and mental focus so will be great at the Bushtucker Trials and will be a positive addition for keeping up team morale for campmates - especially as a lot of the celebs are worried how cold it will be."

If the rumours are to be believed, Mo would be joining a long line of sporting icons which has included Linford, Fatima Whitbread, Rebecca Adlington and Sam Quek.

Vernon Kay

Vernon Kay has been approached to appear on I'm A Celeb (Getty)

Vernon Kay has turned down I'm A Celeb two or three times before.

But it's believed this year he's actually gone for it after reports of being offered £250,000.

The former Family Fortunes star admitted he only hadn't done the show because it hadn't been the right time.

However, the presenter reassured fans he would "never say never" to competing on I'm A Celeb.

He told The Radio Times : “The reason why that story came out, I think, is because I’ve been asked for the last two or three years to do I’m A Celebrity.

“I’ve always turned it down. I think my name must have still been in a notebook and it’s been floated around.

“We’ll see. Never say never. Like I say, I’ve been asked two or three times in the past and it’s not been the right time so I don’t know.”

Victoria Derbyshire

Victoria Derbyshire has joined the line up of stars who will be taking part on this year's I'm a Celebrity, according to reports.

The award-winning BBC journalist and newsreader will be heading to Gwyrch Castle in Wales for the series, which starts next month.

Victoria, 52, recently made headlines when her BBC show was cancelled and she said she found out on social media.

An insider told The Sun : “Victoria is always game for a challenge so when she was approached for I’m A Celebrity she jumped at the chance.

“It’s always something she’s wanted to do but because of her family she’s never wanted to fly to Australia and be away from them for so long.

“When the show moved to Wales and the opportunity came up, she didn’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth so said yes straight away."

AJ Pritchard

AJ is in talks for I'm A Celeb after quitting Strictly Come Dancing (DIGITAL/EROTEME.CO.UK)

AJ was said to be in talks to join the line-up after quitting Strictly Come Dancing.

He is reportedly keen to prove himself as a brave and 'hard man' after four years of donning sparkly outfits on the dancing show.

A source told The Sun: "AJ has a huge fanbase from Strictly, and he’s really grateful for the opportunity it afforded him but he is keen to show people that there is a lot more to him."

Producers hope that AJ will be the eye candy of the next series, it's claimed.

The insider added: "Bosses think he would be a great addition to the cast and it always helps to secure a heartthrob as it draws in much-needed younger viewers."

According to Ladbrokes bookmakers, AJ stands at odds of 1/2 to take part this year.

Beverley Callard

Beverley is the first star to officially be signed up for I'm A Celebrity 2020 (ITV)

Beverley is the first star to officially be signed up for the 2020 series.

The soap starlet, who plays Liz McDonald, has signed up after leaving Corrie, the Mirror exclusively revealed.

She will shoot her final scenes in July if the coronavirus lockdown has ended by then, and after that she will be free for new projects.

One insider revealed: "Everyone was thrilled when Bev said yes, she is such a well-loved ITV face."

Opera star Russell Watson is believed to be heading into the jungle after he was spotted at what appeared to be a secret shoot for the show over the weekend.

The tenor arrived in a car with blacked out windows and covered his face with a mask, but he gave the game a away by carrying a suit bag emblazoned with his name in large writing.

Jessica Plummer

She causes quite a stir during her brief stint in BBC One soap EastEnders, and Jessica was rumoured to be going on to bigger things after her dramatic exit earlier this year.

She's now believed to be heading to Wales to join the other stars of IAC as they battle the wet and windy weather in a ruined castle.

Hollie Arnold

Hollie would be a popular addition to the cast (Getty Images)

Javelin-thrower Hollie, who won a gold medal at the Paralympic Games in Rio in 2016, is also said to be heading to the castle.

She was among the stars who were pictured at the show's secret photoshoot in North London recently.

If she does head to Wales, it looks like Hollie will be a huge asset to the cast.

Ruthie Henshall

Ruthie Henshall was also spotted in North London meeting up with the other celebrities (ex)

West End star Ruthie, 53, is Prince Edward's ex-girlfriend and opened up about their relationship in a candid interview on Desert Island Discs.

She admitted she was often smuggled into Buckingham Palace for secret dates with the Prince.

"It was very exciting, but I genuinely fell in love with him."

Iain Stirling

Loveable comic Iain has been tipped by bookies Ladbrokes to join the 2020 line-up.

Having becoming a household name as Love Island's sassy, self-deprecating narrator, Iain's also proved a hit on Celebrity Gogglebox.

"Every series needs the camp comedian," Ladbrokes said, "and fans would love to see Iain tackle the 'Welsh jungle' this year."

They slashed odds on him signing up to 4/1.

Jake Wood

(BBC/Kieron McCarron/Jack Barnes)

After Jake Wood confirmed his shock exit from EastEnders after 15 long years of playing womaniser Max Branning, bookies have tipped him to be the next contestant for the long-awaited 2020 series of I'm A Celeb.

The 48-year-old soap star is expected to bow out in a huge new storyline as Jake makes his exit.

But it may not be the last we'll see of him as Ladbrokes have already priced his next most likely move, with 3/1 the price on him making an appearance in the makeshift jungle later this year.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Jake's no stranger to our screens.

“With his time on the Square coming to an end, we reckon I'm A Celeb chiefs could be about to snap him up."

Keith Duffy

(Toby Hancock)

I'm A Celebrity bosses are said to be in "advanced talks" with Keith Duffy.

Keith was reportedly asked to take part in the show last year but he was going on tour with ex Boyzone bandmate Brian McFadden.

But he's said to have been asked again after the 37-date tour was pushed back until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Keith has been meeting with bosses over Zoom to discuss his appearance in the jungle, according to The Sun.

A source said: "Since the location moved from Australia to North Wales it's been a little more tricky to get people on board but the team are confident they sold it well.

"Keith would make for a brilliant campmate with his celebrity tales and his can-do attitude."

The insider added that the timing had never been right for Keith in the past.

"Everyone hopes that he might take a chance this time around," they said.

Faye Brookes

Will Faye Brookes appear on this year's I'm A Celeb? (ITV)

A television insider has revealed that former Coronation Street star Faye Brookes could be making an appearance in the Welsh castle later this year.

Speaking to The Daily Star, the source explained that bosses are keen to land the brunette bombshell following her split from pop star Gareth Gates.

“I’m a Celeb will be a much bigger pay packet and better box office because fans will want to see her talk about her break-up from Gareth," the insider explained.

However, BBC bosses are also reportedly hoping to land Faye as a contestant on Strictly.

The source added: “But she might go for the glitz and glamour of Strictly given her background in theatre.”

Eamonn Holmes

This Morning host Eamonn Holmes is tipped to join I'm A Celebrity 2020 (ITV)

This Morning host Eamonn Holmes is the latest rumoured camp mate, according to Coral bookmakers.

The star has been rumoured for the show a number of times across the years, and has appeared on the spin-off show Extra Camp.

Coral are listing him as odds-on at 1-2, and that's not all. They're also tipping him to be crowned King of the Castle before it's even launched.

Coral have placed the television presenter at odds of 6-1 to be the winner this year.

"In what is going to be a new look I'm A Celeb camp this year, our betting suggests Eamonn Homes is going to take on the challenge in 2020," said Coral's John Hill to Mirror online.

"Holmes is amongst the early favourites to be crowned the King of the Jungle as we expect him to run the course of the series," added Hill.

Ronnie O'Sullivan

Ronnie said he'd be keen one day (PA)

Ronnie was forced to turn down a jungle spot a few years back.

"I was invited this year," he told The Independent in 2018, "But I decided to put it on the back-burner. I'm sure in time I'll give it a go."

Some were convinced this meant he'd be part of the 2019 line-up - and were genuinely surprised when he didn't show his face.

Maybe 2020 is Ronnie's year...

Paddy Power has listed him at odds of 4/5, previously 8/1 a day earlier, to join the line-up, believing him to be in the top five stars most likely to be confirmed.

Kieran Hayler

Katie Price's former husband Kieran Hayler has hinted that he could appear on the upcoming series of the jungle show (Getty Images)

Katie Price's former husband Kieran Hayler has hinted that he could appear on the upcoming series of the jungle show.

The former stripper - who shares children Jett and Bunny with the ex glamour model - says he would "love" to be on the line-up and that "there have been talks" about him starring on the series.

Kieran, 33, already has links to the much-loved ITV reality series - that has been forced to move location from Australia to Wales this year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic - as his former wife Katie, 42, met her first husband Peter Andre on the series in 2004. Katie also went back into the jungle in 2009.

Speaking about the chance of being signed on the series, Kieran told New! magazine: "I’d love to go on I’m A Celeb. I think there have been talks but I don’t know for sure.

"I’d love to do it because I’m into the outdoors anyway so for me it would be really cool. I think it’s just the eating stuff I’d be a bit rubbish at - and it’s closer to home now I’ve heard!"

The Top Gear presenter said he would stick it out for £100,000 in the bank.

Jeremy said he would never rule out doing the show as he would only not do it when he had a string of TV jobs lined up.

He said on The Johnathan Ross Show last December: "We all say 'no' now because we’ve all got jobs.

“If you’re down the line and somebody said, ‘Here’s a hundred thousand pounds to go and eat some maggots,’ count me in! Yes, I’d go and do it…”

Christine Quinn

She's famed for her role on Selling Sunset and her luxurious $1million (£770,000) wedding played out in the latest series on Netflix (NETFLIX/Youtube)

She's famed for her role on Selling Sunset and her luxurious $1million (£770,000) wedding played out in the latest series on Netflix.

Her marriage to multi-millionaire tech guru Christian Richard was a spectacle with a Gothic horse carriage, sofas made of ice and a snow projector at the reception.

So it's no wonder Netflix's reality queen, 31, is the latest to be tipped for I'm A Celeb among many stars this year.

Christine has odds of just 10/1 of storming the castle walls for the TV show, according to Ladbrokes.

(Getty)

According to The Sun, former EastEnders actress Tamzin is in talks with the I'm A Celebrity bosses, although it's still early days.

"I don't think I'd survive in the jungle," he told PA, "Because they live on rice and beans...

"I'm so slim and I find it hard to put on weight, so I don't think I'd last very long in the jungle."

Richard Madeley

Richard Madeley is said to be considering taking part in I'm A Celeb (Channel 4)

Richard has said that he'd always turned down the chance to take part in I'm A Celeb, but is now considering it.

He told the Radio Times that it wasn't the thought of eating bugs that put him off, it was being away from home for so long.

The TV host said: "It's just it's a month – it's a good month out of your life.

"When I did The Circle I was only out of circulation for a total of 7 or 8 days. Like most people, I'm quite busy and I've got a lot going on.

"So if they ask me next year, I will think about it seriously, but I'd really have to have a look at my diary really and see how it would impact work. I would think carefully about it and if I could make room for it."

Lucy has quit her role as Bethany Platt on Corrie and TV bosses are desperate to sign her up to a reality TV show.

But I'm A Celeb has reportedly beaten Strictly and got her to agree to the upcoming series.

A source told The Sun: "Lucy is bubbly, funny, down-to-earth and game for a challenge, so she is a great fit for I’m A Celebrity.

"She had conversations last year about taking part but said, 'Thanks, but no thanks.'

"This year, she told them she feels the timing is right."

John Barnes wants in on I'm A Celeb 2020 (PA)

John was one of the names rumoured for I'm A Celeb 2019 but he never made it to the jungle.

Now the former footballer says he is ready to take part and will take on whatever challenges producers fire at him.

He's already done a string of reality TV shows and I'm A Celeb is next on his list.

John told RadioTimes.com : "I've done a few shows – I've been on Family Fortunes and The Brightest Family.

"I did Strictly Come Dancing 10 years ago, but Dancing on Ice with my age and the injuries I've had, I don’t think so. The Jungle would be good!"

Speaking to Bonus Code Bets BonusCodeBets.co.uk about I'm A Celeb, Barnes said: "To be honest, there’s nothing that I wouldn’t eat or anything I wouldn’t do...I’m fairly easy-going, if they asked me to do something, I'd do it.

"And from the point of view of eating anything, I eat everything and anything, so I’d probably be ideal for the show.

"The only fear I have is of sharks so by saying this I’m sure they’re going to put me in a tank with sharks but I guess that’s the nature of the game...but everything else I would be fine with," he insisted.

Carole Baskin

Show bosses were said to hbe hoping to tempt the Netflix documentary star to be part of the line-up when the show returns to screens with its 20th season.

A show source told The Sun: “Jungle producers have made a formal approach and hope she will do it.”

The Sun also claim the animal print loving star has been offered “a big money deal to take part in this year’s series.”

However, when speaking to Mirror Online, Carole denied that she would ever take part in the show, citing its record with its treatment of animals.

Carole said: "I strive towards veganism so there is nothing so gross in the plant world, for me to be forced to eat on camera, as to make for entertaining television."

The former Strictly Come Dancing star could be swapping sequins for Snake Rock this autumn with bookies slashing Kevin's odds to 3/1 to make the jump to ITV.

Kevin quit the BBC dance show back in March, which coincidentally clears his schedule from August to December.

The Grimsby native had been gearing up to take a starring role in a touring production of Strictly Ballroom The Musical from June, but after the closure of theatres due to the coronavirus pandemic, Kevin will now be looking for something else to fill his time.

Proving that she would be open to being on the series she added: "Get me to that jungle, what a great life opportunity. I am all for that!"

Lorraine then hinted that she is going to pull some strings with ITV bosses to make it happen as she replied: "I’m going to make a call!"

She would make one fun contestant!

Gavin Henson

Gavin Henson could also be among the I'm A Celebrity lineup - according to the betting agencies (SWNS.COM)

Another Welsh name that has had his odds slashed is former rugby star Gavin Henson.

The sport star had his odds slashed to 4/1 and has even eyed the show in previous years.

A mybettingsites.co.uk said: "If the latest odds are anything to go by, ex-Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson is set to embark on yet another reality adventure with a stint on I’m A Celebrity, alongside ex-footballer and actor Vinnie Jones.

“Apparently Gavin has considered going on the show previously but for one reason or another it hasn’t worked out but with the show being filmed in Wales, it’s been said that the rugby player is keener than ever to join the line-up.”

Although he left television behind to be open The Fox pub in St Brides Major, Wales, betting agents predict the likelihood of an I'm A Celeb appearance as quite high.
