I'm A Celeb's Kadeena Cox worked with bosses to amend trials as she suffers from MS

I'm a Celebrity contestant Kadeena Cox is not allowing her disability to sideline her from trials as she's talked to the show's producers to find ways she can fully embrace her time at the castle.

And the TV Presenter and British parasport athlete said it was her 'biggest fear' of being forced to opt out of trials due to her MS, which she admitted had deterred her from appearing on the show in the past.

She explained: "I didn't want to be that person that was exempt from loads of trials because I've got a disability. I'm the kind of person that's about what I can do as opposed to what I can't do. So that was something that I feared."

But after discussing her fears with the ITV producers she's found the show are happy to accommodate her needs so she doesn't 'miss out' on opportunities.

She continued: "So there's things in place so that I can do it which is great and it's great that the team worked so closely with me to make sure that I won't feel like my disability is holding me back."

The four-time gold champion paralympic sprinter was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2014.

In previous years, celebrities have been except from certain trials due to age, health conditions, religious beliefs and dietary restrictions.

And Kadeena opened up about her road to recovery from an eating disorder which she feels she is 'in control of' now and started to become manageable during the Paralympics.

Kadeena added: "I'm in a really good place and I spent the last two or three years working really hard to get to where I am right now and the Paralympics is a point at which I realised I was more in control of my eating disorder than it was in control of me.

"'But I'm hoping I'm just in a good place - rather than struggling with my eating disorder I'm hoping that I will be able to showcase recovery and allow people with eating disorders to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel."

It's not the athletes first stint in the spotlight besides her sporting accolades as she was crowned Celebrity MasterChef 2021 champion, but insisted she won't be volunteering to be camp chef.
