I'm A Celeb's Caitlyn Jenner given hero's welcome at hotel after leaving jungle alone

Caitlyn Jenner got a hero's welcome as she returned to the Palazzo Versace hotel after being evicted from the I'm A Celebrity jungle.

The 70-year-old arrived back from camp with contestant James Haskell and was greeted in reception by other contestants including Adele Roberts, Cliff Parisi and Andrew Maxwell.

Dan Osborne was also in reception with his children.

But there was no sign of Caitlyn’s close friend and business partner Sophia Hitchins who is thought to have flown in from Los Angeles today.

Speaking after leaving camp, Caitlyn told Ant and Dec: “I came here to test myself. I did the show 16 years ago, I turned 70 and thought what a challenge, I knew it wasn’t going to be easy.

"First night I didn’t think I would make it to the next night, but I met some of the greatest people, there wasn't one person causing a problem.

"I couldn’t believe I made it to three weeks. I am ready to get out.”

The late arrival of Sophia Hitchins left viewers heartbroken as Caitlyn became the first campmate to walk out of the jungle to not be greeted by a loved one.

Her time in I'm A Celebrity has been pretty much ignored by her family back home, with daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner enjoying a holiday in snowy climes and sunny Miami respectively.

They have barely shown any support to Caitlyn apart from a message in their Instagram stories more than a week after she had started her jungle adventure.

Viewers were "disgusted" that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was not greeted by anyone but will be buoyed when they see the reception she was given on her return to the hotel.
