I'm A Celeb's Caitlyn Jenner fled home in terror before wild fires engulfed it

Caitlyn Jenner has told how she fled in terror minutes before her home was engulfed in a “tornado of fire”.

The 70-year-old reality TV star, who is in this year’s I’m A Celebrity, described her horror seeing the Woolsey wildfire head for her home in Malibu, Californian, last year.

She said: “We had fires come through here. I stayed about a minute before it hit as it was coming up that canyon so intensely.

“Tornadoes 200ft in the air of flames coming at you. It was pretty frightening.

“In the pool, there had to be close to 15 dead rats, 15 dead rabbits. Soot. Everything. The house had to be sanitised. It was a mess. A lot of things on the outside were messed up.”

Her stepdaughters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian had to evacuate their homes too. Wild fires in California this year have forced 11,000 people to leave.

In a podcast, Caitlyn said the fire did £240,000 of damage to the house she shares with girlfriend, Sophia Hutchins, 23, and dogs, Bertha and Baxter.

Caitlyn’s £500,000 I’m A Celebrity fee is the show’s biggest yet.

Her campmates will include Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle and EastEnder Jacqueline Jossa.

Emily Atack, 29, runner-up last year, has jetted off to Australia to present I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp.

Sharing a selfie on the flight, she said: “Off I go! Back to where it all began. I’m quite emosh.”

Meanwhile, Caitlyn's stoked rumours he is to appear in the jungle by failing to attend a press event this week.

The singer had been due to perform with his Rak Su bandmates at the Christmas lights switch on but failed to appear.

Instead his bandmates told the crowd: "We’ve got someone missing today. Myles is at home but he sends his love."
