I'm A Celeb fans 'work out' which two stars have been axed after 'tense' trial

I'm A Celebrity viewers think they know which two stars will leave during Wednesday's episode, after a double elimination was announced.

Just days before the final, the remaining campmates were forced to take part in a survival trial to compete to stay on the show.

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly confirmed the two stars who were last to complete the trial would be the next pair to leave the series.

There is no public vote for the special all-stars series in South Africa, so the viewers do not get to vote to send people home, and they will not choose the winner.

Instead it's up to the campmates to decide who leaves and who does the trials, while their fates can also be decided by taking part in challenges.

All of the remaining campmates entered the trial clearing towards the end of the episode on Tuesday night, as host Ant explained proceedings.

He said: "We’ve got news. The survival trials continue and you’ll all be taking part in this one. At the end of it, two people will be heading for home."

Each celebrity was locked in a crate, with their heads poking out of them. They had to untangle a key from a series of cords, and unlock the padlock that was keeping them trapped inside of the crate before ringing a bell.

During the trial, critters were added to the crates as the battle went on. Campmates were told that the last two stars left in their crates would be leaving camp for good.

Ant and Dec also informed them that anyone who chose not to take part or anyone who shouted out ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ during the trial would be one of the two leaving then and there.

Viewers will have to tune in on Wednesday to see the task and find out who else will miss out on the final - but many fans already think they know the verdict.

Only Myleene Klass, Carol Vorderman and Fatima Whitbread have so far made it through, with more campmates at risk.

Left fighting for survival are Helen Flanagan, Paul Burrell, Jordan Banjo, Dean Gaffney and Phil Tufnell.

Taking to Twitter, fans said that judging by how they had done so far in the "tense" trial, it was likely two stars in particular would be sent home.

One viewer guessed: "Dean and Paul," as another said: "Dean's given up I think," and a third tweeted: "Dean and Paul if I had a guess."

Meanwhile, Joe Swash was the latest star eliminated from the spin-off show on Tuesday, after failing to beat another star in a survival task.

Stacey Solomon's husband was chosen for the trial and had to compete against Phil, after they were not saved by fellow campmates.

Temple of Doom saw the stars forced to lie down inside two identical tombs with the lids closed as they battled to unlock a series of locks, using the codes around their tombs.

They were joined by a number of insects and snakes as the trial went on, as both campmates tried to finish first.

Ultimately, Joe lost out to Phil and was sent packing, while Phil got to stay for at least one more day.

I'm A Celebrity... South Africa continues all this week at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
