'I'll take your eye out' - thug punched and bit train guard after being asked to put dog on a lead

A thug punched and bit a train guard in a brutal attack after being asked to put his dog on a lead.

The man was at Upholland Station, near Wigan, when he was approached by the guard and asked to put his pet on a leash before boarding the train shortly after 3pm on Wednesday, February 17.

When the man refused, the guard told him they could not board the train.

The pooch then chased after the train guard and bit him on the leg, the Liverpool Echo reports.

As the guard defended himself, the dog owner punched him in the face.

He then grabbed his head and reportedly said "I'll take your eye out".

The man then plunged his teeth into the guard's ear before fleeing with his dog into Upholland village, police said.

British Transport Police are investigating the attack and have released an image in connection to their enquiries.
