'I get called a neckfish when people see my real neck - I try to hide it behind my hair'

Catfishing is a word we've become extremely used to in recent years, where people either pretend to be someone else or transform themselves to look like a different person. But have you ever heard of a neckfish?

One woman has taken to TikTok to ask users whether they think she is 'neckfishing' by hiding her neck behind her hair.

Much like catfishing she explained that neckfishing involves making the neck look smaller because it doesn't fit into 'normal' standards.

The neck in question belongs to 18-year-old Bellela Colas (@ bellela.colas ), from California.

In one video she can be seen posing to the camera, with her hair styled in a sleek way around her face so that you can't see her neck fully.

Text placed over the video says: "Is this neck fishing?"

At the end of the video, she switches up her position and has her hair behind her ears, smirking and she appears to be hunching her shoulders to accentuate her neck.

People were quick to comment on the hilarious video, with one person saying: "You still pretty though", followed by a shrugging shoulders emoji.

Another commented: "Still cute but yes", followed by a crying with laughter emoji.

"Nah you look beautiful either way", a fellow follower praised.

"It’s not even that bad", someone else assured.

"Girl, embrace your imperfections", a woman wrote, followed by a fire emoji.

A different user added: "You look so good so it doesn't matter."

Others saw the funny side, commenting to tell her she'd made their day and that she's "funny as f**k."

"I honestly don't see anything wrong with it", one wrote.

A second agreed, commenting: "It ain't even that big."
