I found a 'versatile' festival skirt from H&M and it cost me £15

It can be so hard planning a festival outfit, take it from me, a person that has had several meltdowns weeks before Parklife when trying to find an outfit.

I think the hardest thing for me, personally, is trying to find an outfit that you know is not only going to be comfortable, but looks good too. I ordered about four different outfits in the lead up to Parklife, but ended up being disappointed in all of them when trying them on.

Let's be honest, there's nothing worse than having an outfit planned out in your head, trying it on, and it looking totally different to what you thought. That's what I found with all my festival outfits, before visiting H&M at my local retail park.

To be honest, my trip to H&M was a last resort option, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to find anything suitable - but I was wrong. It took me a while to conjure up a festival outfit, but managed to find the most perfect skirt on a whim.

The pleated twill skirt is priced at £15 (which I thought was a total bargain) and was super comfortable. I was a little unsure about the grey shade being too bland, but I thought it actually looked quite unique in the end, especially with a good lather of fake tan.

In terms of sizing, I managed to fit into a size 'S' [small] which I was shocked about, but it did end up feeling quite short. Instead I chose size 'M' [medium] with a belt instead, and that ended up being perfect.

The material of the skirt was so soft and thin, but it wasn't too short or revealing which I was glad about. The only slight downside about the skirt was the fact that it creased quite easily, but other than that, it was perfect.

On the H&M website, the full product description reads: "Short, flared skirt in cotton twill with pleats, a zip fly and button and a raw-edge hem. Unlined."

It's already received rave reviews online from shoppers, and it's very easy to see why. I paired my skirt with a grey bandeau top also from H&M which is currently not online - but you might be able to find it at your local store.

The grey top was £13, and although it was also grey, I paired the outfit with a big pair of biker boots and yellow tinted sunglasses for something a little extra. Considering two items cost me under £30, I was pretty impressed.

I really think that H&M is one of the most affordable high street stores at the moment, with a lot of on-trend pieces. This skirt is so versatile, and such a bargain.
