A learner driver stunned police after being caught on a solo trip - telling them it was because "I failed my test the other day".
Officers pulled over a black Vauxhall Corsa in Altrincham on Monday night over the 'manner' in which it was being driven.
They discovered that the person behind the wheel was uninsured and did not have a full driving licence.

But, when police asked the driver why they were out in the car with only a provisional licence and nobody supervising, they received an unusual response.
In a post on Twitter, an officer from GMP's Traffic unit, said: "Corsa stopped in @GMPAltrincham last night by Transport Unit patrol re manner of driving.
"The driver was uninsured & a provisional licence holder (unsupervised).
"Their reason for driving on a provisional? "I failed my test again the other day".
"Driver reported & car seized."
Police also included a picture of the car stopped by the side of the road.
