I can't stop wearing my 'versatile' £18 Primark denim maxi skirt

I've been seeing a lot of denim maxi skirts recently, and the retro look is definitely a throwback to say the least.

Considering I'm only 5'3, I honestly wasn't sure if I'd be able to jump on the denim maxi skirt hype. I was a little worried the skirt was going to look massive on me, and generally just look a little odd.

I really wasn't willing to spend loads of money on something that I wasn't sure would suit me, so I took a trip to Primark in the hope of finding a bargain. I often find that Primark's denim section can be a little hit and miss with sizing, so I didn't hold much hope.

When visiting Primark on Church Street, I came across a gorgeous denim maxi skirt for £18 and knew I had to snap it up. After trying to find one elsewhere from stores like New Look and River Island and not having any luck, I grabbed the Primark one as quick as I could.

Priced at £18, the denim maxi skirt looked pretty long which I was a little nervous about. In the end, I purchased the skirt without even trying it on which was a bold move to say the least.

Let's just say, as soon as I got home and tried the skirt on, I was shocked at how much I loved it. I do appreciate that something like this may look better on a taller person, but I actually felt really good and confident in this denim skirt.

I opted for the size 12 and actually ended up having to wear a belt with it because it was too baggy. This shocked me, as usually Primark denim isn't very forgiving.

As a whole, I was really impressed with the sheer quality of the skirt, and although it was denim, the skirt was super soft and breathable which was really nice. For me, there's nothing worse than wearing some denim and it being too tight around your stomach, it's just uncomfortable, which is why I much prefer wearing leggings or joggers.

However, this skirt was so incredibly soft and comfy, and looked really chic with a pair of trainers and a cute top. For the price, the quality of the skirt was an absolute steal, and I've been wearing it constantly since purchasing it.

What I really love about this skirt is how versatile it is. It can be dressed up or down with a quick change of footwear and accessories, and look effortless every time.

All I'm saying is run don't walk to Primark, because I have a feeling this gorgeous denim maxi skirt isn't going to be around for much longer. You can find your nearest Primark store here.
