Hunt for men who impersonated police, entered a home and 'seized' laptops

THE search is under way for two men who impersonated police officers on the Central Coast during the week.

About 11pm on Monday two unknown males attended a home on Cornwall Avenue, Gorokan, announcing themselves to the female occupant as police from a specialist command.

The woman allowed the males entry into the home before they left with three laptops. They drove from the scene in a silver Holden Commodore.

Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes police district were alerted to the incident and commenced an investigation.

As part of their inquiries, police would like to speak to two males described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in their early 20s, between 170cm and 180cm tall and with average builds. One of the men is described as having short, dark blond hair and blue eyes.

Police are also appealing for anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the nearby area between 11pm and 11.30pm on Monday night to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
