A search has been launched for a man seen assaulting a child in Croftfoot.
The 13-year-old boy was on Croftpark Avenue around 8.45am on Friday, August 21, when he was attacked.
The child and man are known to one another and both had been in a navy blue Ford Focus before the assault.
The man seen hitting the boy is described as white, in his 30's with a medium build. He was around 5ft 9inches in height with a shaved head and beard.
He was wearing a dark jacket, red t-shirt and black trousers.
The pair walked up Croftpark Avenue after the assault.
Officers are checking CCTV footage from in and around the area for any additional information which could assist the investigation.
Detective Constable Dan Hood said: "I am appealing to people who were in the area at the time of the incident who may have seen what happened.
"There are two schools in the area and people may have been dropping their children at school. Any small piece of information could prove significant so please do pass it on to us.
