Lobster-dressed man punched fan unconscious at World Darts Championship, police say

The group dressed as lobsters knocked the man unconcious - (Met Police)

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to following an assault by a man dressed as a lobster at the World Darts Championship.

The victim, in his 20s, attended the darts competition at Alexandra Palace on December 13, 2025, before leaving at around 4.30pm, when he encountered the group of men in lobster outfits.

They are believed to have had an argument before they were separated by site security.

Shortly after, the victim ran into the group again on the venue’s concourse where he was punched unconscious by one of the men.

The victim attended hospital, where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening, but serious. He is understood to still be suffering with significant injuries.

Detective Constable Lizzie Coster, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim in this case, and we hope the best for his recovery.

“This assault occurred outside at a major sporting event, and the suspect was wearing a distinctive costume.

“We are releasing a CCTV image of the suspect in the hope that it will jog the memory of attendees, or anyone else who was in the area at the time.”

Anybody with information is urged to call 101, quoting 6879/13DEC
