- Researchers also observed fin whales lunging through fish schools, minke whales feeding, and dolphins riding boat bow waves.
- The New York Bight, one of North America's busiest marine areas, is increasingly becoming a popular habitat for whales and other marine animals.
- Dr Howard Rosenbaum of the WCS emphasised the extraordinary and growing importance of the New York Bight as a marine environment.
