A man has been arrested after police in Bolton uncovered a hefty supply of cannabis drying behind a false wall in a garage.

Officers carried out a search on Smith Lane in Egerton this morning, where they discovered a “large quantity” of the class B drug drying in baskets.

In a Facebook post, Greater Manchester Police Bolton North said they had arrested one adult male, who is currently awaiting interview in custody.

Police shared a number of images of the stash (GMP Bolton North)

They also shared pictures of the bumper discovery, which their Bolton North Neighbourhood team found concealed behind a false wall within an external garage. The pictures show heaps of cannabis drying in mesh baskets.

Officers thanked members of the public for their help in finding and identifying cannabis farms, writing: “We could not carry out this type of work without the information you the public provide - #ThankYou”.
