How you could win £500 just by supporting your local football team

Dedicated sports fans could see an unusual spectator joining them on the sidelines at their local side, before enjoying a free meal at a local pub and a major cash prize.

The chance to meet former midfielder and Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara is being offered to Nottinghamshire sport-lovers, if they can demonstrate their commitment to their local team.

The Hungry Horse pub company says it wants to honour the dedicated supporters who give up their weekends to attend sport matches in their community.

So it has teamed up with the former Portsmouth, Swindon, Brentford and Stoke star to offer a chance to meet 'Kammy', have him cheer on their local team, join him for a meal in a Hungry Horse pub, and enjoy a £500 prize.

Chris Kamara said: “Whilst it’s the players on the pitch that usually get all the glory, we thought it was high time for the fantastic fans on the sidelines that are cheering their loved ones on to get some well-deserved recognition.

"I can’t wait to meet the ‘good sport’ in the community and look forward to raising a glass to the unsung heroes of the beautiful game.”

The company owns several pubs in and around Nottingham, such as the Sherwood Manor, the Waters Edge, The Wheelhouse and The Wolds.

The competition is open to all UK residents, 18 or over, submissions can be entered until 11.59pm on April 17, 2019.

Full terms and conditions are available on the company’s website.

The winner will be selected by 20 April 2019.
