‘How will we know’: The new Epstein bill isn’t even cold off the press, and a Republican senator is already skeptical

Naturally there is a lot of skepticism surrounding the new Epstein bill, after all, the contents of the files have been promised and then covered up time and time again so how can we trust that this time will be any different? That’s exactly what Ketucky’s fourth congressional district Rep. Thomas Massie is concerned about.

Massie, a Republican representative, has always been vocal about releasing the Epstein files. He recently expressed his concerns as he warned the Senate, “do not muck it up.” The bill which will finally see the release of the Epstein files was signed off by Donald Trump himself after the House of Representatives almost unanimously voted 427 to one in favour.

But for many, it’s a case of believing it when we see it. The fact is that many suspect a cover-up and Massie is among those concerned the bill won’t give the people what they are asking for. While addressing the Senate, Massie asked “How will we know if this bill has been successful?”

He concluded that there was only one way to know for sure, “We will know when there are rich men in handcuffs being perp-walked to the jail.”

Thomas Massie is right

As the supposed Epstein list allegedly contains the names of some very rich and affluent people, there are concerns that those who were involved and were complicit in Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes may not face justice. It’s no good redacting names or details, those who have been evading the consequences for all these years finally need to be held accountable for their part, no matter how powerful they may be.

The only way we can know that the bill has been successful is if we see the people whose names appear in the files arrested and put on trial according to Massie. His argument makes total sense and plenty are agreeing with him online.

Plenty commended Massie for his stance but they shared in his doubts over whether anyone would actually be held accountable for the crimes. “I really don’t believe the elites will be held accountable.” Wrote one person on X, “If only our legal system actually represented truth and justice,” added another.

There has been plenty of speculation over whether Trump’s name appeared in the files which would certainly leave the current administration in a sticky situation. However, the mindset of pretty much everyone right now is that the truth needs to come out regardless of whether or not it will be damaging for certain people.

Only time will tell what the ramifications of this bill could be. Hopefully Massie’s doubts aren’t realized and we actually see the people who aided Epstein are finally held accountable.
