For the first time in history, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans will duke it out at Wembley Stadium for the NFL’s last international game of the year. The game could also be the last one in which Gardener Minshew II is the Jags’ starting quarterback in 2019.
Regardless, Minshew told the media that his mind isn’t on his future as a starter, but instead, defeating the Texans, who handed him his first loss as a starter. He’ll have favorable conditions to flourish against as starters Tashaun Gipson, Lonnie Johnson, and Bradley Roby were ruled out Sunday.
If Minshew is successful, that would set the fans up to see him go head-to-head with Deshaun Watson, who is playing on an mvp level. With Jalen Ramsey out of the picture and D.J. Hayden ruled questionable, he could easily add another big performance to his resume, too.
