It has been a whirlwind week for United as they sacked head coach Ruben Amorim on Monday and placed Under-18s manager Darren Fletcher in temporary charge for the Premier League draw with Burnley.
As there has been no announcement with regard to appointing a permanent or interim head coach, Fletcher will oversee today’s FA Cup tie and his task is to ensure United are in the hat for tomorrow’s fourth-round draw.
As for Brighton, they are back in Manchester just four days after holding Manchester City to a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
That point made it three unbeaten, though they have only won once in their last eight.
The Premier League meeting between these two sides back in October produced six goals and there’s every chance another entertaining showdown on the cards at Old Trafford.
