How to watch Liverpool v Man United - TV channel, live stream, LFCTV and MUTV

It doesn't matter whether it's a huge Premier League clash or a pre-season encounter - there is no match quite like Liverpool v Manchester United.

"We don't play friendlies," said Jurgen Klopp when asked about the fixture on his arrival in Thailand on Sunday morning. It may only be a summer practice match, but there is sure to be a more than healthy attendance at the stadium as English football's two most successful clubs go head-to-head in the Far East.

Working on the assumption that you haven't travelled to the Far East for the game yourself, here's everything you need to know ahead of Liverpool's preseason curtain-raiser.

Where and when is the match?

Liverpool v Manchester United takes place at the Rajamangala Stadium on Tuesday, July 12.

What time is kick-off?

The match will kick-off at 2pm UK time, that's 8pm local time, so we can expect some floodlights.

How can I watch it?

Liverpool v Manchester United will be broadcast live on both LFC TV and MUFC TV. It will also be streamed live on both club's websites. But as reported by the Manchester Evening News, MUTV lead commentator Stewart Gardner has not been sent on the pre-season tour for the first time since he joined MUTV in 2007 and will instead be commentating from a studio at Old Trafford. That Cristiano Ronaldo wage bill won't pay itself.

Early team news

Liverpool have taken a 37-man squad to Asia for their mini tour. That group includes Mohamed Salah and new signings Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez, who could be in line for their debuts against the old enemy. Missing out on the trip is Calvin Ramsay, who has a slight injury discovered during his medical; plus goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher and young striker Kaide Gordon. Ben Davies, who is reportedly subject to interest from Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City, has also not travelled.

Klopp has confirmed Nunez and Carvalho are set to feature, saying today: "The international boys only started back with us on Monday but, as you can imagine, they have come back in outstanding shape, which is not a surprise, so that means they will get some time tonight. We will make plenty of changes too, of course, throughout the game. We will need to. It means Darwin will be in the squad and Fabio will play for us for the first time and I’m sure our supporters will be pleased about that."

Manchester United have arrived in Bangkok with a 31-man squad but it doesn't include global superstar Ronaldo. The European football great has indicated that he would like to leave Old Trafford this summer, but the official line out of United is that has stayed behind to attend to a 'family issue'.

New signing Tyrell Malacia has been included Erik ten Hag's squad alongside youngsters Alejandro Garnacho, Zidane Iqbal and Charlie Savage, who have all progressed through the club's academy, plus prodigy Facundo Pellistri.
