How to watch Irish boxers Dylan Eagleson and Gabriel Dossen fight for gold at European Boxing Championships

Dylan Eagleson, a 19-year-old from Bangor, will face France's Bilal Bennama in the European Championships bantamweight final in Armenia today.

Eagleson is one of two Irish fighters in finals action today with Gabriel Dossen, 22, of Olympic BC Galway, will meet England’s Lewis Richardson in his middleweight final.

The finals begin at 2pm Irish time with Eagleson’s bout third on the programme, and Dossen’s ninth.

St. Paul’s BC Belfast ace Eagleson boxes for gold thanks to his unanimous decision win over Bulgaria’s Daniel Panev Asenov in the semi-final over the weekend. He has already claimed a medal at the Under 22 Europeans.

The finals will be streamed by the IBA and the EUBC, and begin at 2pm, Irish time.

You can watch the action unfold right here via the IBA Youtube channel.

Earlier today on RTE's Morning Ireland, former European bronze medallist Eric Donovan sang the praises of Eagleson and Dossen.

"Eagleson hasn’t even boxed in an elite championships, he’s only 19 years of age. He’s been a breath of fresh air," said Donovan.

"He’s a slick south paw and so, so good. Every fight he’s been getting better and better. With the Olympic Games only two years away, this is a very promising time for Irish boxing.

"We have a conveyor belt in this country of really strong talent across the board. We sent 10 boxers to the championships, five have got to quarter-finals and fought for medals.

"This is one of our youngest teams ever and some of these guys have never boxed in an international lite competition, never mind a European Championships.

"It’s really staggering.

"Gabriel Dossen has won four fights in order to get to the final. After losing in the Under-22 European Championships, to bounce back into the elite senior championships is phenomenal and now just one fight from gold."
