Bristol Bears are back at Ashton Gate on Friday night looking to continue their recent uptick in form against Northampton Saints in Round 19 of the 2022/23 Gallagher Premiership.

While the narrative around the Bears continues to be that of a struggling, underperforming season, director of rugby Pat Lam insists his side have turned a corner and the Bears' only defeat in their last six first team outings was by a single point at Saracens in Round 16 of the Gallagher Premiership and Bristol are unbeaten in their last six fixtures at Ashton Gate in all tournaments.

But third placed Saints have had Bristol's number of late, dominating the Bears 45-31 at Franklin's Gardens earlier this season as part of a three game winning run since the Bears' 28-21 victory at cinch Stadium in March 2021.
