If you’re a new Ultimate Team (CUT) player in College Football 26, the different types of currency can be overwhelming. Coins, points, training, and trophies are all available to earn and spend in the game. Trophies can be tricky to understand at first, but once you know how to use them, they’ll get you some great items.
College Football 26 Currency
College Football 26 Ultimate Team has four different types of currency. Coins are the standard currency that you can buy and sell players in the auction house with. You can also buy packs using them. Quick selling players earn training and can be used to upgrade players or buy packs in a specific Training store. Finally, points are purchased using real-world money and can be used to buy packs and bundles. That seems to cover everything, but trophies add another element to the CUT marketplace.
Trophies are earned in online games and through the College Football 26 Ultimate Team Field Pass (this is what you should do first in Ultimate Team). If you buy the premium Field Pass, you’ll earn even more trophies as you level up. To spend them, look in the marketplace and use the bumpers to select Season 1 (or whichever season we’re in).
Spend Your Trophies

In the Season 1 store page, you’ll find a lot of players you can spend trophies on and add to your team. They range from 600 trophies on the low end to 7000 for an 85-overall Fernando Carmona. But you can buy more than just players with your trophies. Early in the Field Pass, you’ll get a Keldric Faulk card. In the Season 1 store, you can buy upgrade tokens to improve that card. You can also buy special promo packs, like Stand Outs or Name of the Game.
In Season 1, I used 600 trophies on Darius Taylor. I always like having a solid running back, and I am a long-suffering Gophers fan. Aside from that, I have bought an upgrade token and some packs. What you buy is largely up to you and what your squad needs. However, make sure you spend the trophies.
If you’re serious about playing College Football 26 Ultimate Team, it might be worth investing in the Premium Field Pass for each season. You’ll get a lot more trophies to spend, as well as more coins and packs. That’s up to each player, though. If you are a strict No Money Spent player, stay true to that. You just won’t earn as many trophies.
