Trees don't drop saplings in Hytale like in Minecraft so people have been wondering how to regrow trees. It's quite simple and all you need is some Essence of Life and a specific crafting station via the Workbench. Here's how to regrow trees in Hytale.

Here's how to regrow trees in Hytale:
- Trees regrow by crafting and placing saplings.
- You can craft saplings via the Farmer's Workbench.
- To craft a Farmer's Workbench go to a regular Workbench and craft it in the third tab.
- You'll need Tree Trunk from cutting down trees and Plant Fiber from tree leaves and bush blocks.
- Place down the Farmer's Workbench and open the third Saplings tab.
- Select any sapling you want and craft it using Essence of Life (You get it form picking up carrots and other plant-life as well as in the fourth tab of the Farmer Workbench).
- Place down saplings near your base but space them out by about 8 to 10 blocks.
- They will grow into trees after a few days.
It's crucial to plant tree saplings for a constant supply of trees near where your base is. Otherwise, you're wasting a bit of time every day walking away further and further from your base for wood blocks. That said it does require Essence of Life so here's how to farm it.
How to Farm Essence of Life in Hytale
A great way to farm Essence of Life is by making Wheat and other produce and then converting it into Essence of Life in the Farmer's Workbench (4th tab). It's a bit of a cycle since you'll need a Hoe and some essence of life to craft a Wheat Seed Bag in the second tab of the Farmer station. Then it's just about finding a good spot of land near water, using a Hoe to till the ground and planting wheat seeds. You can also water the Wheat by crafting a Watering Can using Iron in the first tab of the Farmer station. Then you just collect the wheat after a few days and turn it into EoL in the 4th tab.
