How to register for The Duskbloods Network Test

FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods Network Test registration is open through the official website. This gives Nintendo Switch 2 players a chance to apply for early online testing and play the game before this multiplayer action game launches.

The application period runs from July 22 at 7am PDT until July 28 at 7am PDT. The results will be announced on Aug. 7.

To register for The Duskbloods Network Test, go to the official Network Test website until the application period is over and open the application page. You obviously need a Nintendo account to register.

The first thing the website asks you is to pick your region. You have to pick the region your Nintendo account is registered in; otherwise, the registration will fail.

When linking the accounts, make sure to press the “See details / Edit” dropdown and tick the “Country/region setting” checkbox; otherwise, you will see an error and your registration will fail.

The Duskbloods Network Test requirements

Players need three things to participate: a Nintendo Switch 2, a Nintendo Account, and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. The FAQ also says a persistent internet connection is required, since this is an online technical test rather than an offline preview build.

Other requirements posted on the website include:

  • 17 years of age or older
  • Availability to participate and report issues
  • Review and Agree to Terms of Use for The Duskbloods Network Test Ver
  • Survey participation post-play

Applications are limited and accepted in the order they are received, so make sure to sign up as soon as you can.

The Network Test is decidedly not a demo. FromSoftware says the test uses in-development game data to check bugs, errors, server performance, multiplayer stability, and balance, but the playable content is limited to just part of the full game, and some things will likely differ from the final release.

The Duskbloods Network Test schedule

The Duskbloods Network Test runs across five sessions from Aug. 21 to Aug. 23. The sessions are scheduled for:

  • Aug. 21 from 3am to 7am PDT
  • Aug. 21 from 7pm to 11pm PDT
  • Aug. 22 from 11am to 3pm PDT
  • Aug. 23 from 3am to 7am PDT
  • Aug. 23 from 7pm to 11pm PDT

What is included in The Duskbloods Network Test?

The test supports online multiplayer matches with up to eight players. FromSoftware is using it to run game server load tests, multiplayer tests across different network environments, and balance checks with real players. Bugs are likely to occur and are frankly expected because the game is still in development.

Players will not be allowed to post or stream videos or screenshots from the Network Test, as the Nintendo Switch 2 Capture Button will be disabled during the test.

The Duskbloods is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2026.
