Although not as meta-defining now as they were during the final act of FC 25, Low Driven Shots are still an excellent weapon in EA FC 26, especially when facing the keeper in 1v1s or looking to hit the right angle. But as you might have noticed from the get-go, the shot’s utility is not the only thing that changed. Here’s how to perform all types of low-driven shots in EA FC 26.
How To Perform Low Driven Shots In EA FC 26
Unlike on FC 25, where you could easily do the shot with a single input, you can perform low-driven shots in EA FC 26 by pressing or holding the shot button (〇/B) before taping it in quick succession. When receiving a cross or fighting for a second ball, you can also perform a low driven header by holding 〇/B while the ball is coming your way before tapping the input again. In addition to the above, a series of six variants, including a Low Driven Volley, can be performed by doing the following:
- Low Driven Lace Shot: Hold or press 〇/B + 〇/B
- Low Driven Finesse Shot: Hold or press R1/RB and 〇/B + 〇/B
- Low Driven Trivela Shot: Hold L2/LT and 〇/B + 〇/B (Can only be performed by players with the Gamechanger or Gamechanger+ PlayStyles)
- Low Driven Flair Shot: Hold L2/LT and 〇/B + 〇/B
- Low Driven Power Shot: Hold R1/RB + L1/LB and 〇/B before taping 〇/B
- Low Driven Volley: While in the air, press 〇/B before tapping 〇/B in quick succession
Keep in mind that no matter your chosen low-driven shot type, your second input does not need to be timed. The first input is also the only one that affects your shot power, so make sure to hold it when looking for out-of-the-box finishes.
How To Score Low Driven Shot Goals In FC 26
Since the shot is no longer a sure goal, you can boost your chances of scoring from low-driven shots in EA FC 26 by making them your go-to when in 1v1 situations. When within the box, the shot also becomes a lethal one-touch option. Using players who have either the Low Driven Shot PlayStyle or its + version can also massively boost your success rate when performing it. However, having access to the latter won’t be easy, as at the time of wiring, Erling Haaland, Claudia Pina, and Karin Benzema are the only non-Icon or Hero cards to possess it.
