One of the best introductions to the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration in Monster Hunter Wilds is having your own Chocobo.
No, we still have to rely on our trusted Seikrets to travel across the map. But they can now resemble the fluffy birds from the world of Final Fantasy, all thanks to the new My Little Chocobo outfit. Rewarded as part of the latest collaboration, you can use the outfit to completely change your Seikret's looks.

How to get the My Little Chocobo outfit in Monster Hunter Wilds
The new collaboration has plenty of Final Fantasy-themed rewards. We already had a heads-up about getting the Chocobo skin back in earlier weeks when the trailer dropped. However, we can finally obtain the skin after Title Update 3 went live in Monster Hunter Wilds.
To win the skin, you'll have to complete Extra Mission 5. This quest has two tasks - A Peak Predicament and Invader From the Stars. The two tasks require you to take down Omega Planetes, the new enemy added as part of the collab. You can complete the task by slaying the normal variant of Omega Planetes.

Once done, you'll get plenty of rewards, including the My Little Chocobo Outfit. You can then equip it on your Seikret to change its looks.
How to equip the Chocobo skin in Monster Hunter Wilds
Once you have unlocked the skin, go to your Base Camp (or the Grand Hub). Go to your tent, and complete the following steps:
- Go to Seikret Customization (from the Appearance Menu).
- Go to Decoration Type, and choose Chocobo.
- This will apply the skin to your Seikret.

Several customization options are also available for this skin.
- You can choose the color (default is the traditional yellow).
- You can also customize the colors of the Inner and Outer feathers.
- You can alter the Eye Color.
While using the outfit doesn't give you any in-game advantages, you can listen to the iconic Chocobo theme from the original Final Fantasy XIV. There's no deadline for unlocking this skin, as it's a permanent addition to Monster Hunter Wilds.
