If you don’t want to input a 30-symbol long code into an infinitely complex, maddening maze caught between space and time, I don’t blame you. That was the original way that you could get the exotic fusion rifle Bastion up until reset today: it was the reward for the massively complex Corridors of Time puzzle that the community spent the last week trying to solve before cracking the thing open on Monday morning. So thank all those streamers and r/raidsecrets members, because it is only through their efforts that you can now grab the gun just by talking to Saint-14.
Note that it currently seems that you won’t get the quest itself unless you’ve saved Saint-14 through Osiris’s quests, which is sort of a strange thing considering the fact that he is currently sitting in the hangar, eminently saved. So if the quest isn’t showing up for you, make sure you’ve completed that set of Osiris quests.
Regardless, you should be able to grab it by talking to Saint, though we’ll keep looking and confirm if there is more to the bug than that. After that, this is a straight-ahead grind and quest affair, the sort of thing you can either do on your own time while you do other stuff or barrel on through. Let’s check out the quest steps:
Kill Servitors and Captains for Fallen Intel: Super easy, they’re around in Thieves Landing and elsewhere, but I’d reccomend thieves Landing, because next we’ve got to go talk to Spider.
Talk To Spider, Go Complete The Empty Tank: After talking to Spider you can go complete the Empty Tank lost sector, also found on the Tangled Shore. Enjoy it! It’s one of the best lost sectors in the game, with some real narrative and verve to it. Kill Aksiniks at the end to get it done.
A Strong Arm: You get this from going back to talk to Spider. It’s the grind step: again, you can either do this all at once or wait until you gradually fill it out while doing other things. The only thing you’ll need to do intentionally is Spider Bounties, which you probably aren’t doing as a matter of course:
- 10 Spider bounties
- 30 Challenging enemies defeated
- 8 Public Events
Find the Grave in Trapper’s Cave: This one is quick if you know where to go. Trapper’s Cave is in Four Horn Gulch, and the grave is right behind a waterfall. Here’s a video if you get lost:
Strike: Strikes are pretty common for the last step here, and this is no excpetion. You’ll want to go to your director and select a special variation on The Hollowed Lair strike on the Tangled Shore. Do the whole thing as normal, and at the end a special enemy will appear in the boss room: Reysk, the Waning Light. Take him out.
Go get your gun: That’s it! Go to Saint to get the gun.
