The Black Ops 7 open beta is upon us, first available to those who have pre-ordered the game via select retailers, digital platforms, or carry a Game Pass subscription.
But downloading and accessing this beta isn't as straightforward as one might think, with many players left confused about how to get into the action. So, here's everything you need to know about downloading Black Ops 7's open beta on Steam, PlayStation, Battle.net, and Xbox.
Downloading Black Ops 7 beta on Steam, PS, Battle.net, and Xbox

Black Ops 7 beta can be accessed via all major digital platforms, including Valve's Steam, Sony's PlayStation, and Microsoft's own Xbox and Battle.net. The way of going about this is different depending on how you've purchased the game or if you're a Game Pass subscriber.
If you've pre-ordered Black Ops 7 via select retailers, you should have received a 13-digit code for the early access with your game, redeemable at this link. Once you've done so, you should receive an email with an access token, which should grant you access to the beta on the platform you've purchased the game for.
For those who have pre-ordered Black Ops 7 via digital storefronts, beta access will come automatically, and no extra steps are required to access it. Simply go to the platform you bought the game on and download the beta branch that should appear in your account.
Keep in mind that some platforms, including Steam and Battle.net, are reportedly suffering issues regarding this last part, with beta branches not appearing on the platforms. If you are one of those affected, contact Activision and its support.
Additionally, if you are a PC Game Pass, Console Game Pass, or Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, you can immediately hop into the Black Ops 7 beta. Simply fire up your Xbox app or relevant console, look for Black Ops 7 Open Beta, download the app, and hit play. This is by far the easiest means to access the open beta branch and has not had any major issues.
If you aren't among any of the above, you should still not worry: Black Ops 7 is opening up its full open beta on Oct. 5 for all players, regardless of their pre-order or purchase status, so if you're feeling left out, it's just a few more days until we all get to join in on the fun.
