Forza Horizon 6 lets you display cars inside player garages, but the game does not give every garage the same number of display slots by default. To show more cars, you need to buy houses with the Additional Garage Slot perk and place more Display Car Locators in that specific garage.
The short answer is that display slots are connected to player houses, not your entire car collection. Buying more houses gives you more garages to customize, while certain houses increase how many cars you can display at that location.
How to get more display car slots in Forza Horizon 6
To get more display car slots, buy houses that include the Additional Garage Slot perk. The perk adds the ability to place one extra Display Car Locator, which lets you show one more car in that house’s garage.
Two houses currently have this perk:
- Hakusan Mountain Lodge includes Additional Garage Slot and 10% More Credits for completing Horizon Life Events. It costs 635,000 Credits and unlocks after reaching the Blue Stamp tier in the Discover Japan progression.
- Vision House includes Additional Garage Slot and 10% extra Skill Score when doing LINK Skills. It costs 1,500,000 Credits and unlocks at the Gold Stamp tier.
It’s important to note that the extra slot applies to the relevant garage, it does not give every house another display slot at once.
How to place Display Car Locators in Forza Horizon 6
After buying a house with an extra garage slot, go into the garage customization menu and place a Display Car Locator. These locators are the objects that indicate where a car should appear inside the garage.
If you have an open locator, you can assign a car from your collection to that display point. If the game says you cannot place more locators, you have reached that garage’s current limit.
How to unlock more houses in Forza Horizon 6
More houses unlock through the Discover Japan progression. Stamps are earned by discovering and completing activities across Japan, including finding landmarks, completing Street and Touge races, photographing murals, smashing mascots, collecting cars, and more. Stamps also unlock Barn Find Rumors and new homes to buy. Remember that you can sell unused cars on the auction to get more credits if you’re short on them.
So, if you cannot buy Hakusan Mountain Lodge or Vision House yet, keep progressing through Discover Japan. Focus on exploration, collection, and open-world activities until the required Stamp tier becomes available.
In terms of progress, go through Discover Japan events, buy Hakusan Mountain Lodge once the Blue Stamp is available, then buy Vision House once the Gold Stamp is available. After that, place Display Car Locators in those garages and assign the cars you want to show.
