During the Interlude 4: Curiosity Satisfied quest, you’re tasked with cooking a Hedgehog Treat to comfort a Hedgehog in DDV. To succeed at this quest, you need to decode the instructions, which are presented in a riddle format, and mix together the right ingredients.

To start, interact with the sparkling instructions located on the left side of the cooking station. The first two lines mention that Hedgehogs have small appetites and only need three ingredients to be satisfied, which lets you know you’ll only need a few items here, and that the dish you make should be a three-star recipe.

The next line says “Lettuce is tasty, but Basil’s a bore,” which means you’ll want to include Lettuce, but skip Basil completely. The line right after says Hedgehogs love Pattypan the most, hinting that you should toss in some Golden Pattypan when making this dish.

The last two lines mention that Hedgehogs “long for mushrooms” and are especially fond of “truffle kinds,” meaning you’ll want to include the Truffles found in the wild around Honeyglow Woods in your dish. Lastly, fish makes them angry, so be sure to avoid using any to cook up this quest recipe.

The Hedgehog Treat you need to make for this mission is completely different from what you’ll want to feed the regular Hedgehog Companions wandering around Honeyglow Woods. Ignore anything you know about feeding other versions of this animal here, as it isn’t relevant to this specific quest, so it’ll only confuse you.

How to make Hedgehog Treat in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You can make a Hedgehog Treat using three specific ingredients, which are:

  • One Golden Pattypan
  • One Lettuce
  • One Truffle

Grab all three required ingredients from the table near the cooking station, then toss them into the pot to get going. This quest recipe is a three-star dish, so make sure you only use the three needed items to cook it. You can only make a Hedgehog Treat during this specific quest, so it’s not a dish you need to successfully cook all Honeyglow Woods recipes,

If you’re up for it, there’s lots more to explore and tackle around Honeyglow Woods after checking off this mission. Next, you might consider working on crafting all Honeyglow Woods Blueprints, completing the Grown-Up Things quest, making Foresty Quiche, and tracking down all hidden green chest locations.
