Rematch, the biggest title in arcade-sports gaming since Rocket League, has been making waves this year. With the game set to release on June 19 and the beta version receiving over 1.3 million sign-ups, you can’t deny the hype. However, with so many players lining up to play the game, Sloclap hasn’t been able to maintain its servers.
For a game that relies heavily on online matchmaking, server maintenance by the developers has been subpar, resulting in lag, lengthy matchmaking queues, and community frustration. If you can’t seem to log in and play, chances are that it might not be a problem on your side but rather a global server issue. Here’s how to check if the problem is with the server status or your own internet connection.
Ways To Check the Rematch Server Status
Unlike other games like Rocket League or EA FC 25, Rematch isn’t currently supported by third-party websites like Downdetector. Instead, you have to resort to the game’s official website or forums to get the status of the servers. Unfortunately, since the game hasn’t properly launched, the official website doesn’t provide any information about the server status either.
While this might add to the frustration, here are some ways to check the server status.
- Follow Rematch on X and join their community discord. They actively post about server maintenance on both platforms (mainly X), and you can figure out if the global servers are down.
- If there’s no information available on both platforms, ask other players if they’re facing the same problem. The community is pretty tight-knit on both Discord and Reddit, and you can quickly get your answers. If other players are facing the same problem as you, the servers might be down.
Currently, these are the only two ways you can check the server status in Rematch. Once the game launches properly, we might see a dedicated server page on their website. However, for now, let’s just hope and pray we don’t get disconnected from winning matches.
