How to catch a Flying Disc from 100m away in PEAK

The flying disc might have been added as part of an older update in PEAK, but it has come to the limelight during the Mesa update.

The first major content expansion of PEAK has added plenty of new badges for players to complete and unlock new rewards. The Ultimate badge has a peculiar requirement that requires you to use the frisbee, or the flying disc, over a certain distance.

As of writing, the badge seems to be bugged, but the process remains the same.

How to get the Ultimate Badge in PEAK?

The Ultimate badge requires you to collect the flying disc. Either you or your friend will need to get the item, which is always located at the crash site.

  • If you're in a party, you will need to throw the frisbee over a distance of 100 metres, and it has to be caught by your mate.
  • If you're alone, the task is easier to complete. Climb a bit from the Shore biome, and throw the flying disc horizontally. Then climb back down to the Shore to get the flying disc. Remember that this method works only when you're playing solo.

If you're unsure about the distance between you and your friend, you can use a mod that displays the exact figure. While I first thought that the distance between me and my buddy wasn't enough, there seems to be a more serious issue.

Why can't you complete the Ultimate Badge in PEAK?

If you're doing everything right and still can't complete the badge, you're not alone. As of writing on Aug. 12, the badge appears bugged as of writing. Irrespective of the distance, the badge can't be completed, which means that the associated cosmetic reward is also unobtainable.

This seems to be a result of an earlier bug fix, when players were reportedly able to throw any item and complete the task. That said, the 24 Karat badge had a major bug that has been addressed as of writing. Once we get a bug fix for this, repeat the steps mentioned above, and you should have completed the Ultimate badge.
