The Purdue Boilermakers men’s basketball team will host the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Thursday night for a tangle between two Big Ten foes who are getting very different results this season.
The Boilermakers enter the matchup ranked third in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll thanks to a sparkling 23-3 overall record, with all three losses coming in 15 tries against conference competition. Purdue was upset by the Ohio State Buckeyes on the road last weekend, which snapped a nine-game winning streak.
The Scarlet Knights are among the bottom half of the Big Ten bringing in a 14-11 overall record but a less-than-mediocre 6-8 tally in league play. Much like its Thursday opponent, Rutgers was on a winning streak —four games, to be exact — before dropping their last game at the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
The Purdue Boilermakers will host the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. ET.
