How to blend fact and fiction: A creative writing class with Lionel Shriver

Best known for her international bestseller We Need to Talk About Kevin, winner of the Orange Prize for Fiction in 2005, Lionel has researched and written stories exploring everything from the US healthcare system to obesity and terrorism.

During this evening class, you’ll get exclusive insights into how Lionel plots her novels, from first inspiration to the final page. Plus, you’ll receive expert advice that you can apply to your own work, including how to research non-fiction content and artfully weave fact and fiction in your writing.

Lionel Shriver is the author of eleven novels including So Much For That and The Post-Birthday World. Her international bestseller We Need to Talk About Kevin was awarded the prestigious Orange Prize For Fiction in 2005, and was later adapted into an award-winning feature film by Lynne Ramsay. Lionel’s twelfth novel, The Mandibles: A family 2027-2049, is published in May 2016 by The Borough Press, HarperFiction’s literary fiction imprint.
