Hathiram Chaudhury’s relentless pursuit of justice in Paatal Lok may have seemed challenging, but few know that, in real life, he has achieved a remarkable milestone in fitness.
Jaideep Ahlawat, who is a household name currently for playing the rough and unapologetic Hathiram Chaudhury in Pataal Lok series, had once lost 26 kilos in less than 6 months. He dropped to 83 kilos from 109.7 kilos. He was shooting for Maharaj at that time in which he played the head priest of a haveli alongside Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan, Sharvari Wagh and Shalini Pandey.
Diet routine Jaideep Ahlawat followed for the weight loss
After the lockdown, Jaideep had a wake-up call as indulging in comfort foods like parathas, chhole, dal, and ghee-laden dishes led to significant weight gain. Hailing from Haryana, where rich traditional diets are deeply ingrained, he faced the challenge of making major lifestyle changes. Despite his love for hearty meals like roti, dal, and spicy snacks, he dedicated himself to a disciplined regimen tailored to his body’s needs, successfully shedding the excess weight.
Under the guidance of fitness trainer Prajwal Shetty, Jaideep focused on having carefully portioned meals with each serving limited to 100 grams. His typical diet consisted of chicken, quinoa, paneer and green leafy veggies. He completely eliminated sugar from his diet.

His exercise routine
For physical activity, Jaideep engaged in bicep curls, lateral raise and chest press workouts. While each of the workouts was for 60 minutes, he also included 45 mins of incline walking.
For a healthy recovery, Jaideep included 2 days of rest in his fitness routine. This is advisable as it helps the sore muscles relax, repair and rebuild.
Role of a good diet and exercise in weight loss
A healthy diet and regular workouts make a lot of difference in weight loss. Effective weight loss incorporates a balance between calorie intake and expenditure levels. A nutritious diet t
hat includes protein, fiber, and healthy fats enhances metabolism, suppresses your craving habits, and reduces fat while conserving your muscles. In addition, regular exercise in the form of cardio and strength training enhances burnout, improves muscle tone, and promotes general fitness. Together, diet and exercise regulate hormones, improve digestion, and prevent metabolic slowdowns. Sustainable weight loss is best achieved by combining mindful eating with consistent physical activity, ensuring long-term health benefits beyond just shedding pounds.
