How much should Ben Roethlisberger play vs the Titans?

When the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Tennessee Titans, it will be the one and only chance to see quarterback Ben Roethlisberger play in the preseason. Head coach Mike Tomlin indicated on Friday he isn’t sure how the division of labor will look.

Tomlin has never been one to play Roethlisberger beyond a few series in the third game but we have to wonder if this might change this season. But before we speculate, we want to hear from Steeler Nation how much you want to see Big Ben play.

The last three seasons the Steelers have played the Cleveland Browns twice and the Washington Redskins in Week One. Not exactly NFL powerhouses so if the Steelers needed to knock the rust off, this was a good game to do it.

But four years ago the Steelers took on the New England Patriots in Week One and lost. This season they will once again face the Patriots and there’s no way this team can win if they aren’t in mid-season form.

Should the Steelers play Roethlisberger more because of the Patriots or is it better to play it safe? Let us know.
