The prices have now been revealed for the new Broadmarsh Car Park that's 'slightly more expensive' than its predecessor.
It will cost £4.60 to park your car within the Canal Street landmark for two hours, and £16 to park in there for 24 hours.
Ahead of its opening to customers on Monday (November 1), the cost to park in the redeveloped city centre car park is the same as it would be to park at the multi-storey car park in Trinity Square, elsewhere in the city.
That means four hours will cost £6.80, six hours will cost £10.50, and eight hours will cost £14.
Monthly permits to park there start from £118.80.
Nottingham City Council leader, Councillor David Mellen, offered a first look around the new facility on Friday (October 29)
He said: "The pricing is in line with our other car parks in the city centre as we're trying to balance the encouragement for people to use the public transport system but also to have car parking fit for a city centre.
"What's not slightly more expensive than it was in the past? It reflects the balance of priorities here.
"People will pay money because they value the car parking opportunity."
To encourage customers to use the car park, a special offer of £5 for all day parking applies from Monday through to Sunday, November 14. But if parking for two hours or less, the normal tariff applies.
Cllr Mellen said: "If that does not encourage people to come and see what it's like, then I don't know what will.
"In terms of a discount for residents or businesses, that's something we'll consider going forward.
"We do deals at different times of the year for different businesses."
After that period, prices will be in full.
