Lucy, 8, asks: how much fuel does a rocket need to get to the moon?
They are powered by solar energy so they don’t need fuel
They are powered by lunar energy so they don’t need fuel
They use a carefully measured mixture of petrol and oxygen – enough fuel to fill the tanks of 1,000 Range Rovers
It depends on the type and age of rocket, but the first rocket that made it to the moon used 950,000 gallons of fuel

Solutions
1:D - This depends on which rocket is being launched. However, Saturn V, the rocket that took the first astronauts to the moon, used 950,000 gallons of fuel to complete the mission. Today rockets are more energy efficient but they still use a LOT of fuel. , 2:B - Chlorophyll is the pigment in plants that makes them green and also helps the plant turn sunlight into food through photosynthesis. It’s made of magnesium, carbon, oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen. , 3:C - The sailfish is the fastest fish in the world, swimming up to 68 miles per hour. That’s about as fast as you’re allowed to drive a car on the motorway!, 4:B - It depends on your cat, on what sort of food you are feeding them, on their age and what sort of diet they are on. Assuming that a cat eats 200g of wet food every day, that would mean they eat 73kg of it a year., 5:C - About 700 species of dinosaurs have been discovered! Experts disagree on the exact number. We may have found only about 28% of all the species of dinosaur, meaning there are many still to be discovered.
