How Manchester United squad reacted to Bruno Fernandes debut

Luke Shaw believes Manchester United have got a 'fantastic player' after Bruno Fernandes made his debut for the club over the weekend.

The Portuguese midfielder completed a move to Old Trafford earlier this week, after he signed a five-and-a-half year contract with the option of an additional year.

Fernandes impressed on his debut on Saturday night as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were held to a goalless draw by Wolves in the Premier League.

Despite an underwhelming team performance, the 25-year-old made a positive impression with his passing in the middle of the pitch and his desire to shoot from distance.

United fans will have to wait another two weeks before they get to see their new signing in action, but in his short spell at the club he has already done plenty to impress his new teammates.

"Yeah, good," Shaw told MUTV when asked about Fernandes' impact.

"He's only been able to train with us once and that was a very light session. But we're all looking forward to see what he can bring.

"We've seen that he's a fantastic player, everyone knows that he is. Of course today is not an easy game to come into but I thought he did well.

"There's good signs of things to come, and we'll all help him. We've got a nice training camp to make him feel welcome."
