How high will Newcastle United finish this Premier League season? Predict final results

For Newcastle United and Steve Bruce, the remaining four Premier League game are all about finishing with a flourish and trying to break into the top half of the table.

The threat of relegation was banished comfortably when football returned following the lockdown, with handsome wins over Sheffield United and Bournemouth adding to draws with Aston Villa and West Ham.

Wednesday's 5-0 defeat to Manchester City brought a sour taste of realism to United's recent run - but it was their first defeat in seven top-flight games.

Bruce and Co will look to bounce back at basement battlers Watford on Saturday, in a game where the pressure is very much on the hosts.

Nigel Pearson's side know a win would be a major boost in their fight against the drop, and they come into the match on the back of a 2-1 win over rock-bottom Norwich.

United then have a home clash with out-of-form Tottenham on Wednesday, before the final week of the rescheduled season sees them visit Brighton and host champions Liverpool at St James' Park.

Bruce has spoken previously about the challenge of breaking into the top half of the table, with each place worth millions in prize money.
