How have you been affected by the New Zealand earthquake?

A 7.5-magnitude earthquake has hit New Zealand’s South Island, killing two people and triggering a tsunami warning. A 6.8-magnitude aftershock also struck shortly afterward.

It’s left thousands stranded and towns cut off: Kaikoura, a town of about 2,000 people, in the South Island, has been almost completely isolated with roads closed and phone lines down. There is a state of emergency in place for the town.

Have you been affected? Are you living or travelling in the region? Have you been left stranded? Perhaps you have friends or family in the area, or are originally from the region affected?
