'How absurd!' Leeds United fans react to Aston Villa game change by Sky Sports

Leeds United's final home game of the season has been moved and it has caused quite a stir among supporters.

The clash against Aston Villa has been shifted due to TV commitments and will now take place on Sunday, April 29 at 12pm.

The two promotion rivals were scheduled to face each other at 3pm but considering both side’s battle to make it back to the Premier League, Sky Sports have made the decision to show the game.

It’s the 22 match of Leeds’ season to be broadcast by Sky and another example of the club’s pulling power.

However, it has not gone down well with most fans. Leeds tweeted about the confirmation this afternoon and it’s fair to say the response was mixed.

From fans praising the club for their sarcastic tweet to supporters bemoaning the late change and the fact that they cannot now make the game, it’s fair to say the schedule alteration is a talking point right now.

Leeds will receive £120,000 from Sky for the game but this won’t provide any solace for the fans below who are missing out.
