Thieves made off with housewarming gifts after a daring early evening raid on a home in Celbridge yesterday.
The burglars are understood to have broken into the house in the Dara Court area some time between 7pm and 9pm.
As well as housewarming gifts, the brazen bandits took cash, jewellery and a phone after breaking in through a back window and ransacking the house.
Gardai are investigating the incident.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating a burglary that occurred at a house in the Dara Court area of Celbridge.
"A number of items were taken in this incident. Investigations are ongoing."
The homeowner took to a local community group to appeal for anyone with any information in relation to the robbery to contact Leixlip garda station on 01-6249010.
