The price of a hotel room and a stay at an Airbnb is almost the same in Dublin, it has been revealed.
It was a unique finding of the European cities analysed by travel experts Wanderu.
A spokesman said: “Historically, hotels have been the more costly of the two but the pandemic seems to have affected the hotel and homeshare industries negatively in
the Irish capital.
“Hotels have experienced a drop in prices of about 20%, while Airbnb rates have dipped by 10%.”
In Dublin, there was just €2 in the difference with an Airbnb being a bit cheaper.
Amsterdam saw a 71% difference between the two with a hotel rate at €95.
