This is the horrific moment a knifeman in a skeleton face mask enters a shop brandishing a large blade before stabbing a man leaving him fighting for his life in hospital.
Scotland Yard released a CCTV image of the armed man as he chased his victim into an off-licence in Beulah Road, Thornton Heath on January 8.
The 20-year-old victim was found outside the shop suffering multiple knife injuries telling officers he had been followed into the off licence.
He was taken to a south London hospital initially in a critical condition. This has since been downgraded to a stable condition in recent days.
